Oregon designates April as "Distracted Driving Awareness Month."

ORS 811.507 defines the cell phone law and provides some exceptions, but essentially, you can not have a mobile communication device in your hand while operating your vehicle on a roadway. It is a tough habit to break, but cell phone use while driving is a significant factor in traffic crashes. Park your phone and focus on the road!
