On Sunday, March 2, former South Salem High School standout Cole Weiland’s current college team, the Whitworth Pirates, lost 10-8 in their NCAA Division III baseball game against the Puget Sound Loggers.

The game took place at Paul Merkel Field. This was their third matchup against the Loggers this season.

The Pirates’ next game is scheduled for Friday, March 7 at 11 a.m. at Paul Merkel Field against Saint Martin’s Saints.
