Census Bureau: 75.5% of people in Marion County were old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 344,037 citizens living in Marion County in 2021, 75.5% were old enough to vote, equating to 259,561 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 128,946 were male, constituting 49.7%, and 130,615 were female, making up 50.3%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Marion County during 2021 was lower than the state average, which stands at 79.2%.
