Head coach Todd Bos said, "We had a really nice day! It was fun to dip our toe into the indoor track scene and the athletes performed very well. They were excited to begin building our indoor record list and put all their hard fall and winter work to the test. Samantha in the mile and Shane in the 400m had excellent races.  We are thankful to God for the opportunity to compete indoors this year."

Headlining today's success for the women was Dara with her ninth-place finish in the mile. She was the first NAIA runner to cross the finish line at 5:22.38, and was beat only by Division I and Division II runners. Lindsay Janzer also competed for the Warriors, crossing the finish line with a time of 6:39.51.

In the women's 200 meter run, Hero Peters finished 11th with a time of 28.02 seconds. Jenna Miller and Madelynn Straus also competed for the Navy and Gold in the difficult race.

In what is arguably the most grueling race, Corban veteran Juliana Brown placed seventh with a mark of 1:05.09 while Kristi Hirte (1:08.34) placed thirteenth in the event.

On the men's side, Josiah del Prado was the top Corban finisher in the 200 meter with a time of 24.30 seconds. Jacob Moore (24.37) finished right behind del Prado at 16th-place while Caleb Schmoll, Alec Richter, and Noah Miller finished 21st, 28th, and 33rd respectively.

Fans saw Davis on the track for the men's 400 meter. The seasoned sprinter put on a show and finished in fourth-place with a time of 52.23 seconds.

Moha placed in the top quarter of the one-mile runners. His 22nd place finish was the first of the NAIA runners and he was beat almost exclusively by Division I and unattached competitors. His impressive mark of 4:30.97 demonstrates his potential heading into the 2023 campaign. Forrest Cooley also provided a stellar performance and came in 28th, crossing the finish line at 4:35.38.

Bos added, "Another nice part about today were the many non-competing team members who made the journey to the meet to support their teammates. It was an excellent start to our inaugural indoor season and we look forward to competing again in a couple of weeks."The Warriors are on the rise and are preparing for the rest of the 2023 season. They will hit the track again on February 5 in Portland.
