Following a fourth place overall Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) finish in the 2022 season, the Corban University Baseball team has a new leader taking the helm for the 2023 season and has prepared a competitive class of recruits entering the new era.

Ethan Bragg, a Corban Baseball Alum, took over the program following the conclusion of the 2022 season as the new Head Coach. Bragg was previously in charge of the recruiting for the program prior to taking over at the top coaching spot for this upcoming year of competition and beyond.

"This recruiting class has been one of the best groups to work with in recent memory," Bragg stated. "They all came in and approached a new opportunity with competitiveness and determination. We are excited to watch their respective careers at Corban unfold."

Michon Cole – 5'5" – Outfielder – Freedom HS – Oakley, Calif.

Joining the Navy and Gold from the Golden State as a freshman is Michon Cole. Cole earned First Team All-League honors while at Freedom High School and was part of a high school baseball program that was notorious for hitting the ball deep. Cole hopes to bring that hitting style to Corban and their ever-improving offense.

During his time at Corban, Cole intends to earn a degree in Accounting. 

Samuel Greenhalgh – 5'10" – Pitcher – Cornerstone Christian School/University of Jamestown – Temecula, Calif.

Introducing the first transfer for the class of 2022, Greenhalgh previously competed at the University of Jamestown prior to joining the Warrior roster for the upcoming season. Hailing from Temecula, California, Greenhalgh provides added experience to the existing pitching rotation.

Greenhalgh intends to study Criminal Justice while attending Corban, with the intention of joining the police force.

Roger Viloria – 6'0" – Catcher/Infielder – U.E San Francisco Javier/Marshalltown CC/Arkansas Baptist College – Caracas, Venezuela

Viloria will bring a wealth of experience to the Corban lineup in 2022. The Venezuela native had a decorated high school career, earning First Team All-State awards while leading the league in home runs and batting average. Viloria also excels in the classroom, earning All-Academic First Team honors in 2020, as well as garnering a spot on the President's List.

Viloria will continue his pursuit of a Business Administration degree with a focus in Marketing at Corban. 

Ryson Wa'alani – 5'10" – Outfielder/Pitcher – Saint Louis HS – Kalaheo, Hawaii

Wa'alani, a three-sport athlete in high school, looks to bring his athleticism to the Navy and Gold for his collegiate career. Wa'alani also brings an incredible work ethic to the classroom, earning Scholar Athlete Awards back-to-back years (2020-21 and 2021-22).

Wa'alani is pursuing a degree in Kinesiology with the intention of pursuing a career as a chiropractor or firefighter.

Elijah Maris – 5'10" – Infielder/Outfielder – Indiana University HS/Ventura College/Hawaii Pacific University – Atlanta, Ga.

Maris, an NCAA DII transfer, looks to bolster the middle infield for Corban this season. While attending Ventura, Maris earned First Team All-Conference honors. Maris continued earning accolades at Hawaii Pacific, earning Academic All-Pac West and Dean's List honors. 

Maris intends to graduate with a degree in Business while attending Corban. 

Hayden Wilson – 5'11" – Catcher/Outfielder – Kalama HS/Centralia CC– Milwaukie, Ore.

Wilson comes to Corban with a decorated high school career resume. A three-time All-League catcher, Wilson was best known for a high batting average during his high school tenure. Much like most of his fellow recruits, Wilson is stellar in the classroom, boasting a 3.44 GPA and multiple President's List honors.

Wilson will major in Business Marketing while attending Corban. 

Tyler Hakes – 5'9" – Catcher/Outfielder – Valley Center High School – Valley Center, Calif.

Another addition from the state of California, Hakes looks to bolster the backstop for the Navy and Gold. A two-sport athlete in high school, Hakes brings a strong arm and speed to the diamond. Hakes threw out 26 baserunners in his high school career.

Hakes is pursuing a degree in Kinesiology with the intention of becoming a physician. 

Caleb Rodriguez – 5'9" – Outfielder – Willow Glen HS/West Valley College/De Anza College – San Jose, Calif.

Rodriguez will join the ranks of the NAIA following two years at the junior college level. Rodriguez was a two-sport athlete in high school, playing both football and baseball. He has found himself on the Dean's List at all the schools he has attended thus far and hopes to continue that trend at Corban.

Rodriguez will continue to pursue a Kinesiology degree with the goal of becoming a physical therapist.

Daniel Kehler – 5'8" – Outfielder – Heritage HS – Vancouver, Wash.

Kehler brings multi-sport athleticism to the outfield for Corban. He ran cross country in high school and was an Honorable Mention All-League recipient in baseball.

Kehler is studying Media Arts at Corban with the intention of becoming a film maker.

Monte Spence – 5'11" – Infielder – Phoenix HS/Crown College – Phoenix, Ore.

Spence joins Corban after a year at Crown College, where he was an infielder who primarily plays second or third base. Spence has three years of eligibility remaining entering his NAIA career.

Spence will be studying History while at Corban.

Trey Williams – 6'2" – First Baseman/Utility – Hockinson High School – Brush Prairie, Wash.

Williams provides a unique skillset to the diamond for Corban. His ability to play multiple positions earned him Second Team All-League Honors in high school. Not only was Williams a multi-position player, but he also was a multi-sport athlete by participating in both golf and basketball during his time at Hockinson High School.

Williams is studying Accounting at Corban, with the intention of becoming a financial advisor.

Brady Majewski – 5'8" – Infielder – Prairie HS/Mt. Hood CC – Vancouver, Wash.

Majeswki joins the Navy and Gold following a deep run in the NWAC playoffs last season. Majeswki brings a strong leadership quality to Corban, as he was a three-year varsity captain in high school.

Majeswski is studying English Education at Corban, with hopes of becoming a high school English teacher.

Santiago Gonzalez – 5'10" – Infielder – Hipolito Ciserno/Iowa Lakes CC – Valencia, Venezuela

Gonzalez joins the Corban squad following a two-year stint at Iowa Lakes Community College. While attending Iowa Lakes Community College, Gonzalez was a two-time Academic All-Region recipient.

Gonzalez is studying Business during his time at Corban.

JC Klee – 5'11" – Infielder/Utility – Southridge HS – Beaverton, Ore.

Klee joins his father among the ranks of collegiate baseball players, as his father Jim originally played at Portland State University. Klee was a three-sport athlete at Southridge High School, receiving First and Second Team All-League honors as an infielder during his career.

Klee will be studying Business as he plays for the Navy and Gold.
