The Yamhill County Board of Commissioners (“Commissioners”), upon petition of the City of McMinnville, and with the approval of the McMinnville Rural Fire District, has initiated formation of a new rural fire protection district to provide fire and EMS services under ORS 478. McMinnville Fire District is the name of the proposed district with boundaries being the existing McMinnville Rural Fire Protection District, plus all land within the City of McMinnville. The Commissioners will hold an initial public hearing at 10:00 a.m., December 1, 2022, Room 32, Courthouse, 535 NE Fifth St., McMinnville, Oregon. All interested persons may appear and be heard. Creation of the new district will require voter approval.
