July: Four registered sex offenders living in Hood River County

There were two fewer registered sex offenders living in Hood River County in July compared to the previous month, according to the Oregon Sex Offender Registry.

There were four sex offenders registered in Hood River County in July, compared to six the month before.

The Registry shows 26-year-old David Holcomb Marshall was the youngest sex offender living in Hood River County in July.

Benjamin Leary Alexander was the oldest at 42-years-old.

Oregon has the highest population-adjusted rate of sex offenders – about 749 per 100,000 people.

In 2020, about 11,487 unique victims of child abuse were reported in Oregon, but studies of victims have shown less than 30% of sex crimes are reported to law enforcement.
