Corban University head volleyball coach Kim McLain announced her 2022 recruiting class on Monday afternoon, inking four freshmen and one transfer to the talented squad.

McLain commented, "The 2022 season is an exciting one for us bringing back incredible talent along with the addition of our 2022 recruiting class! This class brings multiple phases of talent that will give us depth, strength, and versatility in our lineup. This class is special both on and off the court!"

The Warrior volleyball team is coming off yet another strong season, during which the Navy and Gold reached the NAIA Final Site for the seventh-consecutive year. Now the Warriors will look to continue building around their strong ensemble of seasoned talent, with a number of this year's new additions figuring to play a role in the team's success this fall.

Makayla Roginski – 6'0" – Right Side Hitter – Gresham HS – Gresham, Ore.

Originally hailing from Gresham, Ore., Roginski was exceptional in her four years at Gresham High School, while also competing for the Chaos Volleyball Club team. The standout was named the Mt. Hood Conference Player of the Year in her senior season.

Roginski intends to study business administration while in Salem.

Kylie Davey – 5' 11" – Outside/Right Side Hitter – Liberty HS – Peoria, Ariz.

Davey joins the Navy and Gold after a successful playing career in high school. The Peoria, Ariz. native is no stranger to big moments, playing a key role in many big tournaments throughout the last seven years. Individually, Davey was named a 6A Desert Valley Region First-Team honoree in 2021 for her efforts with the school, while also competing for the Livewire volleyball club.

Davey intends to study kinesiology while at Corban.

Abigail Guindy – 5'8" – Setter – Leigh HS – Campbell, Calif.

Hoping to make an immediate impact for the Warriors, Guindy brings an impressive résumé to Corban. While a member of the Leigh High School program, she was voted freshman of the year for her conference, sophomore of the year in her second year, garnered All-League plaudits twice, and was named the league MVP.

Guindy hopes to major in business marketing while attending the university.

Emmi Marks – 5' 9" – Defensive Specialist – West Salem HS – Salem, Ore.

Marks, a native of the Capital City comes Corban from just across the bridge in West Salem. Marks was a volleyball standout at West Salem High School and will be a dual sport athlete at Corban competing in indoor and beach volleyball for the Warriors. She continues a family tradition of participating in one or more of Corban's athletic programs that was started by her grandfather, Tim Hills ('68). Corban's indoor court is named in his honor.

Marks intends to major in kinesiology while attending the university.

Lily Snook – 5'7" – Defensive Specialist – West Linn HS/Portland State Univ. – West Linn, Ore.

Snook, a strong defensive presence, joins the Navy and Gold after attending West Linn High School and Portland State University. While competing there, she helped lead the Lions to four-straight league titles, while also garnering All-League plaudits in her junior and senior seasons. Snook also enjoyed a successful stint at the PSU for one year before transferring to Corban.

During her time at Corban, Snook plans to study psychology.

McLain added, "They love to compete and win, which makes them a great fit for our program."

The Warriors' new additions will look to contribute to an already dynamic squad, which is returning virtually all of its 2021 team. Corban will be in search of its eighth-straight appearance in the NAIA National Tournament, figuring to again be in the mix for the top spot in the Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC).
