Cost of college went up for all students at the College of Hair Design Careers

Tuition and fees rose 9.9 percent for 2018-19 at the College of Hair Design Careers, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Oregon students paid $15,330 to attend the two-year private for-profit institution this year – $1,380 more than the $13,950 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 67 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 33 students received grants or scholarships totaling $156,944 and 36 students took out student loans totaling more than $198,099.

Including all undergraduates (63), 46 students used grants or scholarships totaling $219,923, and 52 students took out $332,659 in federal student loans.
