Cost of college went up for all students at George Fox University

Tuition and fees rose 2.9 percent for 2018-19 at George Fox University, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Oregon students paid $36,020 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $1,004 more than the $35,016 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 98 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 626 students received grants or scholarships totaling $11.6 million and 452 students took out student loans totaling more than $3.7 million.

Including all undergraduates (3,941), 2,505 students used grants or scholarships totaling $42.9 million, and 1,822 students took out $12.7 million in federal student loans.
