84 percent of applicants to Western Oregon University were admitted for fall 2018

At Western Oregon University, 85 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 62 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Monmouth enrolled 5,185 students in fall 2018, including 4,576 in undergraduate and 609 in graduate programs, data shows. 6.8 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

76 percent of undergraduates are residents of Oregon, and 22 percent are residents of other states. 1 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (59 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (17 percent).

The school admitted 84 percent of the 3,201 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 30 percent enrolled.
