Yamhill County ranked seventh in state for resident earnings in 2017

Yamhill County ranked seventh among counties in Oregon by annual earnings per resident, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau in August.

The median income of Yamhill County residents was an inflation-adjusted $27,000 per year. Yamhill County had 35,952 households in 2017, with a population of 102,366.

The county with the highest median resident income in the state was Clackamas County. Clackamas County's median income was $34,855 per year after adjusting for inflation – $7,855 more than Yamhill County. It had 153,822 households in 2017 and a population of 399,962.

Malheur County had the lowest annual resident income among counties in Oregon, with a median income of only $19,988 per year. That was $7,012 less than the median income in Yamhill County at the time. Malheur County had 10,262 households in 2017 and a population of 30,421.
