On Tuesday, April 1, former Sprague High School standout Sophia Honse’s current college team, the Western Illinois Leathernecks, lost 7-6 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Illinois Fighting Illini.

The game took place at Eichelberger Field. This was their first matchup against the Fighting Illini this season.

The Leathernecks’ next game is scheduled for Sunday, April 6 at 1 p.m. at Mary Ellen McKee Stadium against Tennessee State Tigers.
