On Saturday, March 1, former South Salem High School standout Cole Weiland’s current college team, the Whitworth Pirates, won 9-3 in their NCAA Division III baseball game against the Puget Sound Loggers.

The game took place at Paul Merkel Field. This was their second matchup against the Loggers this season.

The Pirates’ next game is scheduled for Sunday, March 2 at 11 a.m. at Paul Merkel Field against Puget Sound Loggers.
