On Friday, Feb. 28, former South Salem High School standout Rowan Thompson’s current college team, the Oregon Ducks, won 9-1 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Portland State Vikings.

The game took place at Jane Sanders Stadium. This was their first matchup against the Vikings this season.

The Ducks’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 1 at 3:30 p.m. at Jane Sanders Stadium against San Diego Toreros.
