Real Diehl for Governor, the campaign account for Oregon State Representative Ed Diehl, used social media on April 14, 2026, to highlight his opposition to certain state taxes and promote upcoming campaign events.

In a post published on April 14, 2026, Diehl called for changes to Oregon’s Corporate Activity Tax (CAT), stating: ” Rep. Ed Diehl Calls for Repeal of the Crushing Hidden Sales Tax

As your next governor, I will fight to repeal or reform the CAT tax and deliver meaningful relief to Oregon families and businesses.

Enough is enough.”

Later that day, Diehl invited followers to a candidate forum in The Dalles. In his message from April 14, he wrote: “The Dalles Meet & Greet Candidate Forum TONIGHT!

You are invited to attend a special event featuring conservative gubernatorial candidate Rep. Ed Diehl, leader of the No Tax referendum to stop Kotek’s gas tax & fee hike.

Date: Tuesday, April 14th
Location: Granada Theatre

Shortly after, he promoted another event in Talent, Oregon. On April 14 he posted: “Talent, OR Event!

You are cordially invited to attend a Meet & Greet event featuring Oregon Gubernatorial Candidate Representative Ed Diehl, leader of the No Tax referendum to stop Kotek’s $4.3 billion dollar gas tax & fee hike.

Event Details:

Ed Diehl is an Oregon State Representative who has been active in efforts opposing new or increased state taxes. The Corporate Activity Tax (CAT) was enacted by the Oregon Legislature in 2019 as a revenue measure affecting businesses based on their commercial activity rather than net income.

Governor Tina Kotek has supported transportation funding measures that include increases in fuel taxes and fees aimed at addressing infrastructure needs across the state.
