I have been on the front lines with our producers from across the state, and will grow our efforts from the U.S. Senate. I humbly ask for your vote. We have the team, plan and path to not only beat Merkley,” he wrote.
The following day, on May 14, 2026, Smith shared his experience meeting with constituents in Canby: “I enjoyed the opportunity to join my colleagues and have some wonderful conversations with folks in Canby.
