On Sunday, Feb. 23, former South Salem High School standout Cole Weiland’s current college team, the Whitworth Pirates, won 23-4 in their NCAA Division III baseball game against the Redlands Bulldogs.

The game took place at The Yard. This was their fourth matchup against the Bulldogs this season.

The Pirates’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 1 at 11 a.m. at Paul Merkel Field against Puget Sound Loggers.
